What is the One Brain Method®?

Our goal is to Focus, Clarify, and Defuse Obstructions to the Fulfillment of Your Essential Purpose in this Life
Developed by Gordon Stokes and Daniel Whiteside of Three In One Concepts, Inc., The One Brain Method is a unique approach to stress management and performance enhancement. By combining elements of holistic health, neuroscience, body energy approaches and original research, The One Brain Method® offers tools for transformation and is a gentle, yet powerful, approach to be rid of the limitations that stand in the way of many life goals. As a result, people are more easily making changes and improving the quality of their relationships and lives through personal sessions and the many workshops available.


Stress Reduces blood flow to the brain, creating diminished awareness
We have all experienced those "weak in the knees" or "knots in the stomach" feelings that accompany bad news or tension filled events. This approach is based on the knowledge that stress affects the whole body, and it interferes with our ability to think clearly and function effectively. Long Term, unresolved stress sabotages our ability to learn, make clear choices, and perform many tasks that we are normally able to do with ease. If stress occurs while we are learning something new, it can become an ongoing interference whenever we endeavor to do something related to that particular subject or experience. Many "Learning Disabilities" and "Dyslexias" can be traced back to a stressful experience surrounding or associated with learning that particular subject.

One of the universal stress responses we have is a momentary weakening in our muscles. We use this response as a bio-feedback technique to guide us as we:

  • Focus on what you want to change in your life (stress management, relationships, performance enhancement, etc).
  • Clarify accurately what is getting in the way. Often, how we see things isn't the reality of what they are. Our perceptions of situations are frequently skewed because of the way we think, a belief system that doesn't fit, or the reality is just too emotionally charged or painful to acknowledge. So then we mask the truth with something more palatable. This is where the muscle monitoring is so valuable because it brings out the truth of what is really getting in the way of having what you want. With the truth acknowledged you are then able to more gently and easily move on.
  • Defuse the real obstructions that are keeping you limited. Once the intensity is defused it become easier to make new choices and stick with them through the changes you are looking for.

The One Brain System® is a gentle and useful approach for a wide range of problems and issues such as:

  • Minor upsets
  • Traumatic events
  • Relationships (family, work, peers, friends and lovers)
  • Panic attacks/Fear Patterns
  • Phobias
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Dyslexia
  • Performance limitations (you know you can do better)
  • "Knee Jerk" reaction patterns
  • Unwanted habits or behaviors
  • Writer's Block
